  1. I need a translator.

Please contact us by email, at atlmutualaid@gmail.com, or call or text (404) 913-6932. We never want language to be a barrier and will work our hardest to source a translator for you.

  2. What do you fund?

We fund personal and familial needs for those located in the Metro-Atlanta counties of Fulton, Dekalb, Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, Henry, Gwinnett and Rockdale. Examples of intended uses for funds include housing, food, transportation, medical expenses, and childcare.

  3. How much money do you give each applicant?

Applicants are encouraged to seek the funds they deem necessary in this moment. Asking for what you need ensures that others are able to also benefit from the fund.

  4. How will funds be disbursed? What if I don’t have a bank account?

We will work with applicants to disburse funds in a convenient manner. We currently use Paypal, CashApp, bank transfers, check, and, in extraordinary cases, cash.

  5. What happens after I submit my application?

Our goal is to review applications, communicate a decision, and disburse funds within 2 weeks of receiving an application.

  6. Do I have to pay back these funds?

We expect that accepted applicants will pay forward the support they receive in the future. There will be no legal requirement to pay back funds. Mutual aid could look like providing skill shares of things you know how to do, sharing your time, labor, skills, and other resources, or paying forward into the fund.

  7. Do I have to apply online?

Currently, we do not have a paper application process based on the risk of spreading the COVID-19 contagion. If applying online will add a significant burden please email us at atlmutualaid@gmail.com or call or text (404) 913-6932
